My compilation of the eyewitness account of the 1916 Rising by Joseph Holloway, architect of the original Abbey Theatre and diarist was printed in "Ireland's Own". My research brought me to the National Library in Dublin and in touch with his highly protected hand written diaries in the Joseph Holloway collection, where I had the complex task of finding these specific entries and deciphering his hand writing.

"The Story of the Abbey Theatre" by Nuala Holloway

 "Ireland's Own" in December 2024 featured two articles by Nuala Holloway. 



The first was the cover story marking the 120th anniversary of The Abbey Theatre which gave a history of the internationally famous National Theatre of Ireland.


The second article was a biography of the woman who funded the
 foundation of  the Abbey Theatre, Miss Annie Horniman.
