My dear friend, former politician, Mary O'Rourke passed away on 3 October 2024. It was very a sad moment for me as we spent so much time together right up until the end. I was happy to partake in the tributes to her on TG4's Nuacht, filmed during her removal. Ar dheis Dé ar a hanam dílis.

Regional media coverage in Westmeath's Athlone Advertiser on 23 March 2012 when Nuala Holloway received a letter of thanks from US President Barack Obama for her Oil on Canvas painting "Famine Ship - Jeanie Johnston". The painting was accepted by the US Embassy in Dublin as a gift for the US President on his first official state visit to Ireland in 2011
